Year 11 students have the
opportunity to develop leadership and teamwork skills whilst undertaking a
range of outdoor activities. Students are challenged by the coordinators at
Maroon Dam Outdoor Education Centre to show what they are made of –
completing a 2 day camp out, hiking, canoeing, high/low ropes, a range of fun team-building activities, as well as the much talked about ‘leap of faith’. Students learn from each other and begin to understand the importance of
support and respect when working as a team – something which is essential in
their final year of schooling.
